Extra Information Roland R44 4 Channel Portable Recorder, Very Good Condition, no marks or scratches. It has been kept in the Carrying Case since purchasing about 2 years ago.
Very good working order, has been used extensively recording on location in all sorts of environments, although it didn't last so long in extreme cold temperatures it withstood pretty much all other scenarios. With added carry case which is really useful for protection against rain or wind.
One flaw to the recorder is the headphone amp is a bit noisy for nature sound recording or more sensitive recordings but this does not effect the final result and the preamps in the R44 are pretty good.
Paired up with a sound devices MP-1 or similar makes it also very good for hydrophone and contact mic recording where the microphone doesn't have a built in preamp.
This preamp has both XLR and balanced TRS inputs, again very good condition.
SD Card recording, i've used up to 64GB SanDisk SD Cards with no problem. Runs off both mains and battery.
Headphone connection is 1/4" balanced jack.
Has built in speakers, work fine although I hardly used them.
Built in effects, I never used them personally as not required.
No timecode.
With Duracell Lithium Batteries you get a good run time/recording time from it, using 2 channels phantom power (based on my setup) Other batteries don't tend to last long if using phantom power.
No option for 3.5mm PiP. (Plug in Power)
4x Line Outs. (RCA)
Comes with the CB-R44 Carry case, the handles that hold the recorder were a bit awkward to fit and became a bit stretched over time but this does not effect its use and still holds well to the unit.
Comes with the mains adapter
Useful for manual online if interest in further specs I haven't mentioned: http://cdn2.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/91735.pdf
